The main hospital corridor
The Children's Hospital Lewisham provides one of the few dedicated children only Accident and Emergency Departments in South London and attracts patients from a wide geographical area. As the regional centre for General Paediatric Surgery and Rhesus Disease, the hospital treats children from as far afield as Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Many of the children's services are provided from a purpose-built Women's and Children's wing, which was officially opened by HRH Princess Alexandra in November 1996.
